9/14/96 -- Heys everyone! I'm still alive! I have finished moving out to Indiana, and things are looking on the up and up! As you probably have figured out, if you are following this news file, I was allowed to keep my site at Silcom. (Yeeeaaahhhh). This of course, is thanks to the wonderful people at Direct Image. For those of you who know this section of the country, I got a job at Meijers and am trying to land a job at VanStar (a puter place). I know that I haven't done a lot of work to this page as of late, but please give me a little while to move in, and then I will be able to start working on it again!!!

8/19/96 -- Changes seem to be a constant factor in my life right now. It is with sorrowfull regret (ok, I still can't spell, I haven't changed *that* much) that I inform you that I am moving and am not sure what will become of the MIDI site. I am goi ng to move to Indiana to be closer to my girlfriend, and in a year, I plan on attending college back there. While I'm excited about moving, I am not thrilled about leaving my job, nor am I looking forward to loosing this site. I will keep you posted as to what is going to happen with this site as things start happening! Stay cool! -- B

8/07/96 -- OK...remember when my original sponsor crashed?!? Well, if you don't remember, I lost all of my Light Rock MIDI files. Well, I have new ones up there now, and some of the same old ones. Finally got around to working on that page!!! And a s for other new stuff going on here at the site, I have totaly re-written my Other MIDI Links pages. I hope you find them much "cleaner" to look at!!! I sure do! Hmmm...I think that is about all that is terribly new right now. Don't forget to keep on checking back as I'm adding lots of new links to sites, and am still adding new files!!! -- BB

7/31/96 -- Changes, changes, and more changes!!! I am currently working at Direct Image, who has become a wonderful little sponsor for my site. You can check out their web presence at www.directimage.com. I a lso have started a "Online MIDI Radio." Now, don't be mislead by the title. As of this date, if you click on my site, it will *NOT* jump you into the middle of whatever song is being played . . . However, if you want half an hour of music to listen to w hile surfing the net, check it out!!! It will even launch it's own copy of Netscape so that you don't have to stop surfing!! Other news...I have a very extensive Classical collection now. I am sorry, but I have not been keeping up to date with putting lots of new MIDI files online.

My computer totaly died about a month ago, and I just recently got it back up and working. Meanwhile, I also lost all my web stuff, so if you notice graphics that are missing, that is because they were on the harddrive that crashed. Sorry!!! :/ On t he lighter side of things, I went and visited my girlfriend (who lives in Indiana) recently, and had probably the best 5 days of my life while I was out there. *sob* I miss her! Other'n that tho, thats all that is too terribly new. I know I keep on say ing this, but I am going to try to keep up with this page more now!! -- B

5/25/96 -- I have good news, and bad news. First off, the bad news. Somewhere along the way, my sponsor, Chaos Net, has dissappeared, along with the MIDI files that I was storing on that site. Now, I do have all those files backed up onto floppies, but have no room on my local account to load that back on. I am doing my best to find a new sponsor, but I hope you can understand that this is taking a little longer then I had expected. Now for the good news...the Intr o to MIDI page is comming along nicely! Please check it out and let me know what you think! Thats it for now, I just wanted to let you all know that those files will be back up, I just need to find a spot to keep them! -- BB

5/15/96 -- Well, lots of things have changed here. I have once again completley re-written this page, so we are now officialy on Brent's MIDI Home Page v. 4.0. Please let me know what you think of it!!! Some other enhancements include a very extensive Classical MIDI section, and some new java applets letting you know whats going on! For all of you who remember that I am an avid irc user, you might be interested to know that Pirch supports standard MIDI files. Please also check out Bach's Multimedia Home Page. This section is very much under construction, but its starting to take off. My other new page is the MIDI Introduction Page, for all of you newbies to MIDI. This page is also under construction. If you have any tips, diagrams, etc to add to my Intro page, please email me! Ummm...I have a couple people that I would really like to thank...and since I run this page, I'm going to, so th ere! I would like to thank Rick Hood for putting up with me, and for checking out my page as I update it. I would also like to thank Missy Williams, who has shown me that I can... BB

2/22/96 -- OK Everyone, I am back up and running (I think!). Had some minor problems, and did some major revamping work on my pages...they should load quicker now. I am running out of space, tho, and would really appreciate it if someone would even j ust donate some disk space. Other then that, I recently purchased a brand smacking new Kurzweil PC88-MX. So, I will be putting even more files on (as long as I don't run out of room!!!). I will be back up to speed in a week (didn't I say that before??? ), so keep on checkin' back!!!!!

2/1/96 -- Hi all. I have been getting tons of wonderful comments about my home page, and just wanted to say thanks for all the wonderful comments! If you would like to see anything added that I haven't already added, please let me know!! And also, p lease start submitting MIDI files! I have just finished moving, so I have fallen behind on working on my web pages, but give me another week, and I'll start adding files daily again. I just haven't had the time lately...I'm sure everyone will understand . I am still looking for someone to support me, or give me a larger account (for more files), so please let me know if you want to, or know of someone who does! Also, if you need immediate MIDI assistance, I am on IRC quite a bit. You can commonly find me on DALnet in the #newbies channel. I go by the nick of BBBach, and am an operator in that channel...so if you need any help, don't hesitate to come on in and ask me! Again, thanx for all the wonderful comments!!!

1/1/96 -- I have decided to ZIP up all the MIDI files. I only got one message saying that I should, and none saying I shouldn't. I also ran out of room on my local account, so in order to keep on putting new files online, I have had to ZIP them up. Please let me know how you feel about the zipped files -- if you are for it, agasinst it, or don't care either way. Thanx!
